About Us


My love for Pixie Bobs began in 2006 when I discovered the breed by chance whilst searching the internet for information on Lynx reintroduction programs.

I was ‘hooked’ by the wild beauty of this fascinating breed; a mysterious beauty that was so haunting that I could think of nothing else but that I must have one of my own.

I was truly intrigued by the history of the Pixie Bob and the many descriptions of their intelligence, loyalty and dog-like personality, but also by their alleged understanding and ability to look into your soul, something which I personally felt I’d experienced already and that was just from their photographs!

The passion for Pixie Bobs was infectious and a short time later Handale Pixie Bobs was established in partnership with my mum.

We are TICA registered and work with the best lines, whereby ancestry in most cases can be traced back to Stone Island’s Pixie herself. Our aim is to breed muscular Pixie Bobs of enviable size, with the wildest beauty possible, individual characters, but with temperaments of gold – to breed Pixie Bobs that anyone would be privileged to be owned by!

We wish to thank everyone involved with establishing Handale Pixie Bobs, in particular our friends Gertrud Keazor of Anson Road, Kerri Lewis of Hateya, Donna Cox of Alsoomse, and Stacey Foster and family of Potomac for our fabulous girls and boys, and for their brilliant advice and support.
